Coalition Says 100 Fighter Aircraft Joined Operation Dawn of Yemen

The coalition supporting Yemen's government said 100 fighter aircraft took part at dawn on October 5 in Operation Dawn of Yemen. It said it had destroyed 324 high-value targets as the operation began. The coalition also said it was providing air protection for the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, continuing to engage moving targets and supporting Yemeni forces on the ground around the clock. Presidential Leadership Council head Rashad al-Alimi said the operation aimed to restore state institutions, retake Sanaa and end Houthi control.
