Macron Orders Plan to Shield French Critical Infrastructure From Drone and Cyberattacks

French President Emmanuel Macron asked the government to prepare a plan to protect critical infrastructure and the most sensitive sites in France's defense industrial and technological base from drone and cyberattacks. Macron announced the instruction after meeting leaders of parties represented in Parliament, alongside briefings from senior intelligence and security officials. He said the interior minister had convened regional prefects the previous day to increase vigilance. Macron said the Russian hybrid threat to France and Europe had intensified and that France would continue efforts against foreign interference and cyberattacks.
