Israel Police arrested an East Jerusalem resident in his 60s on suspicion of murder and involvement in the disappearance of 61-year-old Fatima Rajbi, who had been missing from her home since early in the week. Following a weeklong investigation by the Shalem and Oz stations, officers found a scene in East Jerusalem containing a woman’s body. Police said the body had not been identified and was sent to the forensic institute for identification and examination of the circumstances of death. The suspect was due in Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on September 19, where police planned to seek an extension of his custody.
