The European Union said Brazilian poultry meat and honey exports could resume soon after remaining bureaucratic procedures are completed, according to a September 30 joint Brazilian government statement. The European side cited a positive audit conducted in Brazil several weeks earlier during talks between Brazilian ministers Mauro Vieira and Márcio Elias Rosa and European trade commissioner Maroš Šefčovič in Milwaukee. Brazil also sought faster authorization for beef exports. On steel, the European side said a quota-allocation review was underway that could favor Brazil, with further stages in 2027.
