Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the Appropriation (Amendment) (No.4) Bill, 2025, on September 30, extending the budget's implementation deadline from September 30 to December 31, 2026. Both chambers of the National Assembly passed the amendment on September 29. The Presidency said the additional time would enable completion of ongoing capital projects and effective use of funds already appropriated under the 2025 budget. Tinubu commended lawmakers for promptly considering the bill, according to the announcement signed by presidential adviser Bayo Onanuga.
