Ukraine is urging the United States to sanction Russian entities that Kyiv says support development of the Rassvet satellite network, a domestic alternative to SpaceX’s Starlink. Denys Sienik, deputy chief of mission at Ukraine’s embassy in Washington, told reporters on September 30 that he would share details with the U.S. government and Congress about the companies and individuals concerned. He said Ukraine also planned its own sanctions against entities linked to the network. Sienik warned that deployment could allow Russia to attack Ukrainian targets using real-time information.
