South Africa Beat Guinea 2-1 in Soweto to Open 2027 AFCON Qualifying Under Mosimane

South Africa beat Guinea 2-1 at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday in their Group D opener of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, Pitso Mosimane's first match back in charge of Bafana Bafana. Defender Ime Okon scored in the 30th minute and Seydouba Cisse equalised for Guinea in the second half before substitute Samukele Kabini scored the winner in the 77th minute, his first international goal. Co-hosts Kenya drew 1-1 with Eritrea in Nairobi, leaving South Africa top of the group on three points. South Africa next face Eritrea in Cairo on September 30.
