Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an archival institutional view of Latvia’s first Saeima session on November 7, 1922, with deputies arranged behind wooden chamber benches beneath chandeliers; historical parliamentary context, not a depiction of the 2026 election or celebration, rendered in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel strokes.

United List led Latvia’s parliamentary election count with 41 projected seats in the Central Election Commission’s October 4 update at 04:21 UTC. Latvia First was projected to take 17 seats, Sovereign Power/Young Latvians 15, National Alliance 11, Progressives 9 and New Unity 7. Voters went to the polls on October 3 to elect the 100 members of the Saeima for four-year terms. The commission publishes provisional results progressively after precincts count ballots by hand, and the overnight figures remained provisional rather than a certified final result.
