The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed on Saturday night that an overnight Gaza City airstrike targeted Ali al-Amoudi, deputy chairman of Hamas's political bureau in Gaza. The military said he was in an apartment used for terrorist activity inside a residential building. It described him as Yahya Sinwar's former personal aide and said he had participated in decision-making for the October 7 massacre. The IDF said it used precision munitions among measures intended to reduce civilian harm. It said the results were still under review.
