Mexico City authorities reported 19 people injured after Friday’s march commemorating the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre, which drew about 8,000 participants. Emergency personnel treated 18 people for minor injuries at the scene, while a 17-year-old was taken to hospital after an explosive device he carried detonated. The procession traveled from the Plaza de las Tres Culturas to the Zócalo for the massacre’s 58th anniversary. Authorities said activities were mostly peaceful, although damage was reported to street furniture, public transport facilities and businesses.
