Erdoğan Pledges Action Over Türkiye’s Investment-Fund Problems

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Türkiye was working to resolve investment-fund market problems swiftly and fairly while protecting people’s rights. Speaking at Şanlıurfa City Hospital’s opening on October 3, he said priorities were preventing damage to the economy and holding anyone who gained unlawfully accountable. He said the State Supervisory Board, Justice Ministry and Treasury and Finance Ministry were taking steps, with the Fund Coordination Board managing the process. Erdoğan said the problems had emerged in part of the fund market in September and urged citizens to remain confident.
