Anti-Government Protests Spread Across Israel; Witnesses Report Kabri Clash

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of marchers carrying Israeli flags during an archival July 2023 protest march from Tel Aviv toward Jerusalem; contextual illustration, not a depiction of the October 2026 protests or reported Kabri clash, rendered in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel strokes.

Demonstrators gathered at dozens of locations across northern and central Israel on October 3 to protest against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his government and its judicial changes. Protest sites included Haifa, Nahariya, Kabri and the coastal highway. Witnesses at Kabri said a driver shouted at protesters and moved toward people on a pedestrian crossing. They said a passenger took an Israeli flag from a retired Kfar Vradim resident and used its pole against other demonstrators; no physical injuries were reported. Protest sites also planned memorial ceremonies for victims of the October 7 attack.
