Regev Urges Suspension of Flydubai Flights to Israel Pending Investigation

Transport Minister Miri Regev asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on September 30 to halt Flydubai flights to Israel pending an investigation into an incident on its Israel-bound flight. She also sought priority for Israeli carriers El Al, Israir and Arkia, which have Israeli security screening. Flydubai said an altercation occurred in the cockpit of flight FZ 1073 from Dubai to Ben Gurion Airport, and its crew secured the aircraft and landed safely in Tabuk. The airline said all passengers and crew were safe and it deployed two replacement aircraft. It said the motives remained unknown and under investigation, while other scheduled operations were unaffected.
