Nepal Disaster Agency Raises Bhotekoshi Flood Toll to 1,050

Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority raised the Bhotekoshi flood death toll to 1,050 in Situation Report 11, 111 more bodies than the last published official count. The agency listed about 3,916 people missing and said 11,993 had been rescued, including 4,364 by air. Nepal had deployed 21,314 security personnel, while Nepali, Indian, Chinese and South Korean teams were working at affected hydropower sites. The government allocated NPR 160 million to three districts and 15 local governments, and 74 patients remained under treatment across 16 health facilities.
