Nepal Flood Body-Recovery Count Rises to 939 as Missing List Falls to 3,925

Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority said 939 bodies had been recovered by 6 p.m. Monday, while about 3,925 people remained uncontactable after the Rasuwa floods. The previous official update listed 903 recovered bodies and 4,247 missing, making the new totals 36 higher and 322 lower respectively. The authority said the missing list included 1,558 people in Nuwakot, 865 in Rasuwa and 639 hydropower-project workers. It listed 21,008 security personnel deployed and said relief supplies had been carried by 37 trucks, 37 Bolero vehicles and nine helicopter flights.
