肯尼亚10月6日确认了该国首例输入性本迪布焦病毒病病例。此前，一名在刚果民主共和国发病的肯尼亚公民于10月5日在内罗毕死亡。患者10月2日经陆路前往坎帕拉，10月3日乘飞机抵达内罗毕。患者在医院接受隔离后，肯尼亚两家实验室确认了该病毒。当局已列出28名接触者，包括亲属和医务人员，并正在追踪该航班的23名乘客和4名机组人员。肯尼亚已通报世界卫生组织，并正在加强接触者监测、入境口岸筛查和公众沟通。
