刚果民主共和国埃博拉疫情已扩散至北基伍的比埃纳及曼古雷吉帕，使受影响卫生区增至60个。周五援引的最新政府数字记录5,794例确诊及2,786人死亡，整体病死率约48%。两个新受影响区的病死率更高，部分原因是应对工作延迟。新的死亡人数较本周稍早报告的2,642增加144，标志该国最致命埃博拉疫情进一步扩大地理范围。
