刚果民主共和国本迪布焦埃博拉疫情，在截至8月22日的七天造成317人死亡，使官方数字达到5,514例确诊中的2,642人死亡。卫生部报告1,200人康复，808人接受护理或隔离，最新24小时新增55例，但没有新增受影响卫生区。疫情已达六省57个卫生区，伊图里占确诊83.6%。卫生当局及世界卫生组织表示，随着有记录以来传播最快的埃博拉疫情继续，必须迅速扩大监测、接触者追踪及治疗能力。
