New South Wales Police disclosed 10 charges on October 7 against an 18-year-old man arrested at Sydney International Airport the previous afternoon. Strike Force Devion, established in September 2026, examined an encrypted criminal communications device seized at a crime scene in Sydney's northwest. Police allege the examination revealed evidence of murder conspiracies, kidnappings, arson and firearm supplies. Taskforce Falcon detectives, assisted by Australian Federal Police, arrested the man and took him to Mascot Police Station. He was refused police bail and was scheduled to appear at Bail Division Court 7 on October 7.
