New Zealand Greens Rise to 16% as National and Labour Tie at 28% in Poll

A survey published on Monday put New Zealand's Green Party on 16%, four points above its August reading. National and Labour each stood at 28%, with the poll's seat model assigning 34 seats to each and 19 to the Greens. ACT registered 11%, New Zealand First 9%, and the Opportunity Party 6%. Verian surveyed 1,004 eligible voters from September 23 to 27 by mobile phone and online; the stated maximum sampling error was approximately 3.4 percentage points. Thirteen percent were undecided or refused to say. New Zealand's general election is scheduled for November 7.
