Japan’s Ryuji Miura won the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Asian Games in Nagoya on September 28, finishing in 8 minutes 17.36 seconds. The event’s official results placed fellow Japanese runner Ryoma Aoki second in 8:17.60, just 0.24 seconds behind. Japan’s athletics federation marked Miura’s time as a Games record. The pair took the gold and silver medals for the host nation in the same final, according to both official results records.
