The United Arab Emirates launched its third national risk assessment of money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing at a briefing in Abu Dhabi on September 28. Officials said 84 authorities and private-sector participants are involved. The review will cover 21 predicate offences and more than 20 criminal typologies. Its five stages run from defining the scope and collecting data through analysis and validation, with the results intended to inform a national strategy and action plan for 2028. The assessment's findings have not yet been issued.
