Andrew Hastie says he believes in the rule of law. In 2024, Labor retrospectively rewrote Australia’s war-crimes law, backdating it to 2002. That change is now being relied on in Afghanistan war-crimes prosecutions. It passed on the voices, so we don’t know where Hastie stood. Every journalist interviewing Andrew Hastie today should ask him one simple question: do you support retrospectively changing criminal law to make prosecutions of veterans easier?
Australians are being crushed by Labor’s cost-of-living crisis. Mortgage repayments are up about $1,760 a month, rents have jumped more than 40 per cent, and another rate rise is looming. My plan is simple: let struggling mortgage holders and renters access three per cent of their own super contributions for up to three years. An average worker could put $44 a week towards their mortgage and save more than $33,000 in interest over the life of the loan. Higher-income households could save even more. This is your money, not the government’s. I trust Australians to use it to keep a roof over their heads. Labor’s reckless spending and net-zero is what's inflationary. Giving families control of their own money is relief.

I'm not going to apologise and I won't be deleting any of our (hilarious) cartoons. This is all a storm in a teacup as far as I'm concerned. We're talking about a satirical cartoon. It's not about Pauline Hanson or Barnaby Joyce. It's about the sound of a knife sharpening for the Liberal leadership. Watch out Angus Taylor. I'm also proud of our Victorian leader Warren Pickering. To turn his life around and serve our country in the Defence Force is a story of redemption. He outlined every detail of his life in that press conference in a way no other liberal or labor politician would. In Warren, I see a man of conviction and courage who has the leadership qualities to turn around a state.
A government that cannot be trusted to tell Australians the truth should not be given more power over what Australians can see and say online. How are Australians supposed to call out Labor’s lies if the government can pressure platforms to silence its critics and restrict free speech? All this talk from Albanese about a digital duty of care and controlling algorithms is just cover for what it really is: a Chinese Communist Party-style internet censorship bill. Australians should call their local MP and tell them this bill stinks.

Labor is copying the Chinese Communist Party’s censorship playbook. China learned long ago that you don’t need to censor every citizen, you just need to create a culture of fear and make the platforms do it for you. These tactics have been used by authoritarian regimes across the world to gag their political opponents time and time again. The powers will make sure social media companies feel the only option is to over-censor. The Minister and e-Safety Commissioner get open-ended power to classify anything as harmful. Today that’s harm to children’s safety. But tomorrow these powers will be abused to censor complaints about immigration because they harm Labor’s version of “social cohesion”. There are some issues on social media. But this can’t be an excuse to bring in a China-style censorship regime. Social cohesion under Labor means sit down, shut up and don’t complain. Labor lost a safe seat to One Nation in Western Australia. Instead of asking why voters abandoned them, Labor immediately blamed social media. They clearly fear Australians talking to each other online. They clearly fear people calling out their Labor lies. Instead of reflecting on themselves, Labor has now moved urgent legislation so they can censor what you can see and say online. That is the instinct of an authoritarian regime. It follows in the footsteps of Iran, China, Russia and Myanmar. There is nothing this lying Labor government won’t do to hold onto power.
Superannuation is your money. The world kept spinning when the compulsory rate was 9% just a few years ago and One Nation is giving workers the choice to go back to that for three years. The additional 3% would go directly into your bank account, helping you pay rent, the mortgage or groceries. That helps you deal with inflation, while cutting government spending and the trillion dollar debt will help to bring down inflation. Its your money, it belongs to you, not the Government or the super funds.
Tonight, One Nation voted against Labor’s outrageous CGT tax discount for foreign investors backing “swindle factories”. This year’s Labor Budget stripped the same CGT concessions from Australians and Australian businesses. Labor’s actions are to give foreign-backed developers tax breaks, while Australians pay more. When the final vote was called, the Liberals voted with Labor, and Nationals were absent from the chamber. One Nation was there. One Nation voted no. Only One Nation can be trusted to stop Labor’s Net Zero agenda and put Australians first.
Labor thinks superannuation is their 'national asset' to tax or use to pay off the trillion dollar debt. One Nation says it is your money, and if you're struggling with the cost of living you should be able to use it as a 3% pay boost. Employers will keep paying the full 12% on top of your wage. At least 9% will remain invested for retirement, while 3% can be paid directly by the super fund into your bank account. A full-time worker earning about $90,500 could receive around $2,300 a year, or $44 a week, after tax. A family earning a combined $240,000 would receive $7,200 a year before concessional tax and about $6,120 a year, or $118 a week, after tax. One Nation is the only party talking about putting more money back in your pocket to help with your mortgage, rent or groceries.

Jim Chalmers is acting hysterically over a proposal that would let someone struggling to pay their rent or mortgage keep 9% going into super instead of 12%, and take the 3% difference as a tax-effective pay boost for up to three years. Perhaps if you hadn’t so thoroughly buggered the economy, Jim, they wouldn’t need to. And there’s nothing more anti-worker than presiding over four years of falling real wages.

No matter how much Labor spent in the Secret Harbour by-election, it turns out voters no longer trust Labor. They trust One Nation. The Australian Financial Review revealed this week that Labor poured more than $400,000 of their members' money into the once-strong Labor-held seat. One Nation’s new MP, Luke Herdegen, on the other hand, took a fiscally responsible approach to campaign spending and pulled off the historic win with a campaign budget of less than $65,000. In other words, One Nation gets better bang for your buck when it comes to winning seats in parliament. In this instance, we won the seat of Secret Harbour and spent 84% less than our two-party-preferred counterpart. At the last federal election, Labor spent just under $116 million dollars. That equates to roughly $773,000 spent in each lower house electorate. The coalition spent $131 million. That’s roughly $873,000 per electorate. While we know how to get better results for less, we still need to continue our fundraising efforts ahead of the 2028 federal election. Every dollar counts! Anthony Albanese says One Nation is “dangerous, divisive and downright dishonest”. He says some parties will “say anything and do anything to win votes”, “bend any facts” and “peddle misinformation and disinformation”. This clown needs to hold up a mirror to himself. This is a Prime Minister who routinely lies to Australians. He tells people struggling to pay their mortgage, rent and grocery bills that the country is in “good shape”. Now he wants his government to have more power over free speech. There are genuine social problems associated with social media. But the answer is not giving a government like this the machinery to decide what is misinformation, what is dangerous and what Australians should be allowed to see, say and share. Australia should be moving away from government censorship, not building the Orwellian machinery for it. China does it. Iran does it. Russia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Myanmar do it. Now Albo wants to build it here. There is nothing this liar will not do to hold onto power.
While you are struggling to pay your bills, this is what the Albanese Labor government is spending your money on on: Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen has spent more than $6m on ritzy hotel accommodation around the world in just a few months, including two bookings of $2m each for his pre-COP31 meetings in Fiji which have been panned by critics after a series of high-profile snubs. Meanwhile, DCCEEW records also disclosed $283,976 for Mr Bowen’s trip to Bonn, Germany, for a booking at Living Hotel Kanzler for just six days from June 7 to 12. The Daily Telegraph revealed last month Mr Bowen slugged taxpayers more than $340,000 to travel the world to spruik his net-zero ambitions, spending an average of $7500 a day on travel across a grand total of 46 days abroad.
Jim Chalmers blames uncertainty and conflicts on the other side of the world. The problem is economic incompetence right here in Canberra. Migration: up. Inflation: up. Rates: up. Rents: up. Groceries: up. Australians are doing it tough. Why is Jim celebrating?
When I raised the threats now requiring federal police protection, Ms Rowland responded: “I would suggest that Senator Hanson should examine what her party and what her ideology and her behaviour is doing and whether or not that is encouraging that.” She added: “I think sometimes when comments like this are made, one needs to look at oneself and one’s behaviour and the kinds of standards that they accept into their own party and their own ideology.” That is victim-blaming. Australians may disagree fiercely but we cannot accept threats of violence in our democracy.
Attorney-General Michelle Rowland must retract her comments and apologise for slandering One Nation and its supporters while appearing to excuse the violent threats directed against them. Millions of Australians support One Nation. They are not extremists. They are not dangerous. And ministers should not use language that encourages others to treat them as if they are. No minister, especially the Attorney-General and first law officer of the country, should suggest there is any justification for threats against Australians because of the political party they support. Labor should be asking why Australians are abandoning them for One Nation, not demonising those Australians for how they vote and putting them in danger. These are desperate acts from a government of liars.
Anthony Albanese is so scared of One Nation he's only giving us half of the staff per parliamentarian that he's given to the Greens. The Prime Minister is acting like an emperor and personally trying to stop One Nation from representing you. Under the act that governs political staff, adviser allocations are decided personally by the Prime Minister rather than an independent body such as the Remuneration Tribunal, which sets politicians’ pay based on a formula that applies equally, regardless of political party. The same principle should apply here. The Prime Minister should not get to determine the number of staff available to his political opponents, especially while his government enjoys 507 advisers on top of 200,000 public servants. Until then however, Prime Minister Albanese is abusing his power to hobble One Nation as he tries to keep his job. I am only asking for a fair allocation of 9 advisers for One Nation, which would still be below the Greens' ratio, to help get the country back on track and represent you. The Prime Minister doesn't want to play fair. He should be worried about the precedent he's setting for when he doesn't hold the top job anymore.
