Jerusalem prosecutors on Friday indicted Pinchas Shem Tov Ran, 37, Itamar's security coordinator, on charges of aggravated assault with intent to cause serious injury and obstruction of justice. The indictment alleges he fired at least three shots at a departing Palestinian car in Aqraba on September 18, outside his assigned security area. An 18-year-old woman was seriously wounded. Prosecutors say he later searched for cartridge cases and denied involvement. Ran's lawyer says he feared an attempted vehicle ramming and fired into the air; prosecutors requested detention until proceedings end.
