Huckabee Calls Violent Israeli Settlers ‘Terrorists’ During Turmus Ayya Visit

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee visited Turmus Ayya on Saturday and met about 10 Palestinian-American residents, the municipality said. Huckabee described car burning, mosque arson, home vandalism and intimidation by violent Israeli settlers as conduct that crosses from crime into "an act of terror." He said the U.S. Embassy cannot investigate such offenses but can press Israeli authorities to investigate, prosecute and impose serious consequences. Huckabee called the perpetrators a tiny minority and, when shown graffiti invoking his name, replied that he was glad they had admitted it.
