Israel and UAE Confirm Netanyahu's Sunday Abu Dhabi Visit

Israel and the United Arab Emirates confirmed on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had visited Abu Dhabi on Sunday, a meeting neither government had announced beforehand. UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Netanyahu, and the Emirati account said the leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation. Netanyahu’s office said he and his wife Sara traveled at the president’s invitation and that the talks also addressed regional challenges. The office listed Israel’s national security adviser, Mossad director, military secretary and political adviser among the Israeli officials at the meeting.
