An attack on the Antigua and Barbuda-flagged cargo ship Cape Dao off Oman's Musandam coast killed an Indian sailor, according to India's embassy in Muscat. Oman's Royal Navy evacuated 27 people from the vessel and provided medical care after an engine-room fire. The ship had been heading toward India through the Strait of Hormuz. The embassy said it was coordinating with Omani authorities and the sailor's family. The available statements did not identify who carried out the attack.
