Houthis Say Child Killed, 36 Trapped After Saudi Strike on Yemen Prison

Houthi authorities said a Saudi airstrike hit the Central Reformatory prison in Al-Hazm, Jawf governorate. The prison warden told Houthi-run media that 35 prisoners and a woman visiting her husband were trapped beneath rubble, while one child was killed and two people were wounded. Footage released by Houthi-run media showed a collapsed building and people searching debris, and Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree blamed Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia’s Media Ministry had not commented as of 16:24 UTC, and the casualty figures could not be independently verified.
