Eisenkot’s Yashar Submits 40-Candidate Slate With Yoram Cohen at No. 2

Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party formally submitted a 40-candidate slate to the Central Elections Committee at the Knesset ahead of the September 8 deadline for Israel’s October 27 national election. Former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen is second, followed by Orit Farkash-Hacohen, Adi Altschuler and Matan Kahana. Twenty of the 40 candidates are women, and the party requested the ballot letters דרך, spelling “Derekh.” The top 10 also include Chili Tropper, Shaul Meridor, Tair Ifergan, Oshrat Gani Gonen and Shira Shapira.
