Israel’s Supreme Court Gives State 14 Days to Arrange Three Jalud Residents’ Return

Israel’s Supreme Court ordered the state to coordinate within 14 days the return of Mahmoud Tubasi Abad, Wael Mahmoud Tubasi and Tawfiq Shweiki to their homes in Jalud, near Nablus, while securing the return and permitting repairs and restoration of water and electricity. The petition says alleged settler harassment and property attacks forced two residents out on June 22. The state reported eight enforcement operations, reinforced forces, a closed-military-zone order, a task force and a 24-hour hotline. President Isaac Amit and Justices Alex Stein and Yechiel Kasher required a return update by September 22 and an affidavit by October 8.
