Five people died after a multi-storey building used as a boys’ paying-guest hostel collapsed in Satya Niketan, New Delhi. JPN Apex Trauma Centre received 10 people: four were brought dead, one later died, three remained admitted, one underwent limb surgery and one was discharged after observation. Police registered FIR No. 153/26 under BNS sections 105, 290 and 125(a) against alleged owner Hariram and others, saying ground-floor renovation was under scrutiny. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta ordered a magisterial inquiry as police, fire, disaster-response and municipal teams continued rescue work and evacuated an adjacent building.
