At least three people died in Dahi Handi-related incidents across Maharashtra, while Mumbai’s consolidated hospital tally rose to 168 injured participants. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation count showed 29 admitted, 81 receiving treatment and 58 discharged, with 106 cases in central Mumbai, 29 in eastern suburbs and 33 in western suburbs. The state-run Akashvani service reported that a seven-year-old boy died in Malvani after a brick column collapsed, a 45-year-old woman died in Pune after an iron frame fell, and a child drowned in Nashik’s Godavari River. Its earlier Mumbai injury count of 118 preceded the later municipal tally.
