Israel Health Ministry Warns G-Slim Contains 53.8 mg of Banned Sibutramine

Israel's Health Ministry warned consumers not to use G-Slim, a weight-loss product it says is not approved in Israel. Laboratory testing found 53.8 mg of sibutramine in each capsule, more than three times the amount in a similar product previously prohibited. The ministry said a young man was recently hospitalized with chest pain and a rapid heartbeat after taking G-Slim. No registered Israeli product contains sibutramine. The ministry warned of risks including high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, psychiatric disorders and life-threatening harm.
