Brazilian Supreme Court President Edson Fachin moved Justice Alexandre de Moraes’s request concerning Justice André Mendonça out of Inquiry 4,781 and into separate Petition 16,704. Fachin ordered the prosecutor-general to address admissibility, procedure and, if relevant, the allegations within five business days, followed by a successive five-business-day response period for Mendonça. Moraes alleged possible administrative misconduct, abuse of authority and an offense of responsibility connected to the Sem Desconto and Compliance Zero matters; the claims are not findings.
