U.S. Sen. Darline Graham won South Carolina's special Republican primary runoff, defeating U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman and securing the party's nomination for the November Senate election. Graham was appointed to serve the remaining months of her late brother Lindsey Graham's term and entered the race after his death in July. President Donald Trump recruited, endorsed and campaigned for the political newcomer, making the result another test of his influence in Republican primaries. Graham will face Democratic nominee Annie Andrews in November.
