Netanyahu Says Captured Hamas Security Chief Moved Israeli Hostages

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Shin Bet and IDF forces captured Hamas's internal-security chief near his Gaza City home and that he had helped hide and move Israeli hostages. A joint IDF-Shin Bet statement said special forces raided a building, took the captive to Israel for questioning and suffered no casualties while aircraft struck nearby military targets. Netanyahu also accused the man of rebuilding Hamas governance and capabilities and aiding attacks on Israeli forces and civilians. Gaza's Hamas-run Interior Ministry identified him as Muein Ahmad al-Arabid, confirmed he was captured after being wounded, but described him as an Internal Security officer.
