Israeli Forces Say Jenin Airstrike Killed Qais Bitawi and Two Others

Israel's military said an airstrike in Jenin killed Qais Bitawi and two aides during an operation led by the Menashe Brigade with Shin Bet intelligence and Yamam participation. It identified Bitawi as responsible for Hamas activity in the Jenin refugee camp after Operation Iron Wall and alleged that he directed, financed and carried out attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces. The military said an Israeli Air Force aircraft conducted the strike and that troops found a weapon in the group's vehicle. The statement did not name the two other people killed.
