Ouch, Cody! That's so mean! Yes, I'm sure Coach Sanders supports this bill. It's a GREAT bill for coaches. It makes their life a lot easier by indenturing athletes to programs (after one transfer) and giving a groundbreaking anti-trust exemption to their employers, stripping athletes of rights. And the onerous transfer and endorsement rules DON'T apply to coaches! So athletes can only transfer once, but coaches can trade up every year. Athletes have to get bureacratic approval for every single endorsement deal, but coaches can do whatever deals they want - no red tape! Billionaire donors can't pay players, but they can pay coaches directly! It's not a surprise the millionaire coaches support this bill and the players' groups oppose it.

I love college sports too and I’m open to legislative solutions. But a massive anti-trust exemption for college sports isn’t necessary to fix what’s wrong. The industry wants it so that they can smash player empowerment, not reform it.
