Vance Declines to Endorse Netanyahu Ahead of Israel’s Election

U.S. Vice President JD Vance declined to endorse Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when asked during an October 19 interview with Mark Halperin. Asked about President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Netanyahu, Vance praised the effectiveness of Trump’s endorsements but said his own political focus was on American candidates ahead of the U.S. midterm elections. He said he was not getting involved in Israeli elections. Vance clarified that he was neither endorsing nor opposing Netanyahu’s reelection, saying, “I’m not anti-endorsing him. I’m not pro-endorsing him.”
