Brazil beat Australia 4–2 in a men's international friendly at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on September 29, after the Socceroos had led 2–1. Vanderson opened the scoring, Alessandro Circati equalised after a video review overturned an offside decision, and Connor Metcalfe put Australia ahead with a long-range shot. Raphinha levelled from the penalty spot before halftime, then Bruno Guimarães restored Brazil's lead in the second half after Endrick's pass. Vinícius Júnior converted another penalty following a foul by Nestory Irankunda. The match drew 52,423 spectators and followed the teams' 1–1 draw in Townsville on September 25.
