Two IDF Reservists Killed as Army Drone Explodes Inside Northern Gaza Outpost

The Israel Defense Forces cleared for publication on September 25 the names of two reservists killed in northern Gaza: Sgt. Maj. (res.) Nadav Kali, 24, of Har Halutz, and Sgt. Maj. (res.) Ofek Moalem, 23, of Jerusalem, both of Battalion 7007 of the 16th Brigade. The two were operating drones from an army post near Beit Hanoun on September 24 when one drone crashed inside the post and exploded as they approached it. They were evacuated by helicopter in critical condition and pronounced dead in hospital. The IDF opened an inquiry into the cause of the explosion.
