U.S. and Argentina Launch Andes-Atlantic Corridor With Up to $7 Billion in EXIM Financing

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno launched the Andes-Atlantic Corridor on September 23 during the UN General Assembly's high-level week. The corridor links Argentina's mineral-rich northwest and the Vaca Muerta basin to inland and Atlantic ports through rail, pipeline, port, power and digital infrastructure. The Export-Import Bank of the United States and Argentina signed a framework for up to $7 billion in financing by 2027. EXIM also issued a non-binding indicative term sheet of up to $6 billion for Argentina LNG, a $51 billion project in Vaca Muerta led by YPF.
