Tusk Says Intelligence Sees Russian Hybrid Strikes on Ukraine’s NATO Backers

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told the Sejm that intelligence assessments point to possible Russian hybrid drone and missile strikes against countries supporting Ukraine, including Poland. He said the information was consistent and convincing and warned that attacks could be presented as accidents to weaken NATO members’ willingness to invoke Article 5. Tusk said one or several eastern-flank states faced a real risk of strikes and destruction as Russia deployed faster, higher-flying jet-powered drones. He also forecast intense late-autumn and winter attacks on six major Ukrainian cities, supply lines and rail infrastructure.
