IDF Launches Nationwide Snap Drill for Logistics and Home Front Readiness

The IDF launched a surprise nationwide readiness exercise involving the Technology and Logistics Directorate and Home Front Command on Thursday morning. The drill, scheduled to continue until the afternoon, tests multi-branch technological and logistical responses to unexpected operational scenarios, including standby-force and reserve activation. Security forces, military medical teams and vehicles are expected to move at several locations across Israel as commanders practice decisions from regional headquarters through the General Staff. The military said there was no active security incident and that the exercise had been planned as part of its 2026 training schedule.
