IDF Says Northern Israel Hostile-Aircraft Alerts Were a False Identification

At 21:26:10 UTC on September 9, the Israel Defense Forces said hostile-aircraft-infiltration sirens had sounded in several areas of northern Israel and that details were under review. At 21:36:29 UTC, 10 minutes and 19 seconds after the first notice, the IDF said the alerts had been caused by a false identification. The two official statements did not report an actual hostile aircraft, an interception, injuries, or the specific communities where the sirens sounded, and no such claims were included in the resolution notice.
