Two Northern Israel Residents Face Indictments Over Alleged ISIS Attack Plots

Israel Police said a joint Northern District and Shin Bet investigation led to the arrests of two northern residents accused of separate ISIS-linked attack plans. Investigators allege a 16-year-old Galilee resident pledged allegiance to ISIS, searched for explosive-belt instructions and intended to attack Jewish police officers and soldiers at the Temple Mount. Police also allege Ibrahim Kaabiyya, 19, of Haifa pledged allegiance to ISIS and planned an attack on an IDF base in northern Israel. Haifa District prosecutors were expected Friday to file indictments and request both suspects remain detained through the proceedings.
