Woolworths Full-Year Net Profit Rises 18.1% to A$1.14 Billion

Woolworths Group reported full-year net profit after significant items of A$1.138 billion, up 18.1% from A$963 million, as sales rose 3.6% to A$71.539 billion. Earnings before interest and tax excluding significant items increased 12.7% to A$3.105 billion, while e-commerce sales climbed 15.9% to A$10.6 billion. Australian Food sales rose 4.6%, and BIG W returned to a A$64 million operating profit from a A$33 million loss. The company lifted its fully franked final dividend 15.6% to 52 cents, taking the full-year dividend to 97 cents.
