Israel Police Arrest Council Head, Six Others in Negev Corruption Probe

Israel Police arrested the head of an unnamed southern regional council, six relatives and officials, and detained six more people after a months-long investigation. Investigators suspect bribery, tender rigging, fraud, breach of trust and fictitious council jobs used to divert public funds.
