Vice President JD Vance said the United States is investigating reports that an American airstrike killed civilians attending a wedding in Iran. He said the administration had no information confirming or disproving U.S. responsibility and was extremely skeptical of Iranian state-media accounts. Vance said U.S. forces do not intentionally target civilians, while acknowledging that unintended events can occur during military operations. He said the inquiry was being conducted fully and that the military would learn from any mistakes identified. His comments came at a White House media briefing on Thursday.
