Canada’s Liberals were projected to win all three federal by-elections held Sunday, retaining Beaches–East York and North Vancouver–Capilano while taking Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, a Quebec seat held by Conservatives since 2018. Elections Canada showed Liberal Daniel Gobeil ahead with 51.3% after all 212 polls reported in Chicoutimi–Le Fjord. Liberal Tanveer Shahnawaz led with 54.9% in Beaches–East York and Braeden Caley with 58.4% in North Vancouver–Capilano as counting continued there. The sweep was projected to raise Prime Minister Mark Carney’s party to 173 seats in the 343-seat House of Commons.
